Plot/Synopsis

Ip Man is adapted from the life story of Ip Man, the grand master of the Wing Chun style of kung fu and sifu (master) of legendary kung fu superstar Bruce lee. Wing Chun has a history of more than 200 years. It was founded by Yim Wing Chun, took root in the hands of Leung Chun, and prospered with Ip Man. The art of Wing Chun has now become very popular with martial arts enthusiasts, especially oversea. It is a traditional Chinese martial art with a formidable reputation internationally.

To this date there have been neither movies nor publications about Ip Man. This movie will be the first important record of the master’s life. Ip’s persistent devotion to Wing Chun is a classic example of the love and respect shown to wushu and the freedom and spirit it represents. This movie will see the making of a modern wushu master representative of Chinese people worldwide. Ip Man is a concept, a spirit, a way of thinking – and it represents a new peak in Hong Kong’s wushu movies.

How To Fix The Audio :
This is an audio syncfix file for both CD1 and CD2 in the release:
Ip.Man.2008.CN.DVDRip.XviD-PMCG
For which I found the audio to be OOS (out-of-sync).

To apply this fix you must do the following:
1) Extract all files in this archive to a folder on your PC i.e. C:\pmcg-im_syncfix
2) Extract the video files from Ip.Man.2008.CN.DVDRip.XviD-PMCG (named pmcg-im-cd1.avi and pmcg-im-cd2.avi) to the same folder you did in step one i.e. C:\pmcg-im_syncfix
3) Once you have done the steps above you can run the BAT files named “FIXME-CD1.bat and FIXME-CD2.bat”. Run the CD1 bat file and then the CD2 one afterwards (check you have enough hard drive space free first).
When it has finished syncing it will close the nandub window that automatically opened and it outputs the file “pmcg-im-cd1.fixed.avi” or “pmcg-im-cd2.fixed.avi” to the same folder you put the video in.
It is NOT programmed to delete the original OOS video files, so if you are happy with the new synced video file then delete the old ones manually yourself.
NOTE: If you are using soft-subs (seperate file based text) to subtitle the movie on-the-fly, make sure your video file and your subtitle file have the same name before playing e.g. pmcg-im-cd1.avi & pmcg-im-cd1.srt otherwise the subtitles might not load.
