School Food Punishment (スクールフードパニッシュメント) is a four member Japanese band. They are currently signed onto Sony Music Japan's Epic Records Japan record label. The lyrics of each of the band's songs are written by lead vocalist and guitarist Yumi Uchimura.

Band history

The band was formed on October 2004 by Uchimura, while their first live performance took place in December of the same year. In 2007, their debut album, school food is good food, was released. In 2008, both of their songs, "feedback" and "Futari Umi no Soko" were featured as theme songs to the Japanese television drama Joshidaisei Kaikeishi no Jikenbo, while their mini-album "Riff-rain" was released by Tower Records and sold out in under a week. They also performed in numerous live concerts, including FM802, part of the Minami Wheel 2008 live event, and the J-Wave Live event, part of the Tokyo Real Eyes Live Supernova.

In 2009, they signed onto their first major record label, Sony Music Japan's Epic Records Japan division. Their major label debut is "futuristic imagination", which is the ending theme to the Kenji Kamiyama anime television series Eden of the East, airing on the highly rated noitaminA timeslot on Fuji TV, with the opening theme being "Falling Down" by English rock band Oasis. Amongst their first projects was contributing to Judy and Mary's 15th Anniversary Tribute Album, in which they covered the band's "Brand New Wave Upper Ground" song, with their performance praised by sources such as The Japan Times as having been the highlight of the album and having evoked Judy and Mary's songwriting and musical values.

Texas Pandaa's commemorable debut album "one gleam after the shadow" did not make it on the top 10 list on the charts, and neither did their sophomore album "DAYS". With big fat possibility their future albums won't either. But they seem happy with what they do.

Texas Pandaa is a four-piece shoegaze/romantic-pop band that feature mesmerizing female duo haromonies.

Winnie is an indie Japanese band formed in 2002. They released their first demo in the same year. In 2003 they released their first mini-album first class speed of light. While they continued to perform live they did not release their second mini-album The Darkest Eternal Lights until 2008.

winnie’s music is a more pop/rock inspired with all of it being sung in mostly understandable English. And mix the vocals between female member Iori and male member Okui.

MASS OF THE FERMENTING DREGS (MOTFD) has started in 2002, with the members of Natsuko(Bass/Vocal), Chiemi(Guitar) and the drummer, in Kobe, Japan.
(the drummer has left in 2007 / since then, acting with a supporting drummer)

Though MOTFD is girls’ band, sound of its bright-loud guitar reminds of “Sugar”, “The Wedding Present” with its “The Smashing Pumpkins”-ish beautiful melody build an identical world in songs.

advantage Lucy plays songs influenced by 60s janglepop, Swedish pop, and pretty much anything else that makes people feel good. Presently comprising vocalist Aiko and guitarist Yoshiharu Ishizaka, the group was formed in 1995 as a four piece, named Lucy Van Pelt after the Peanuts character of the same name. A fixture on the indies scene, Lucy Van Pelt released several records on the God’s Pop Records imprint, growing their fan base countrywide through frequent club gigs, in-store appearances, and other special events.*

In August 1998, the band changed its name to advantage Lucy per the request of the Peanuts trademark holders, signing several months later with Toshiba-EMI and releasing the EP Citrus e.p… After several singles, the band made its full-length major label debut in May 1999 with Fanfare, following up the next year with another full-length, Station. Both records featured Aiko’s fresh, yearning vocals, backed up by Ishizaka’s melodic, jangly guitar guitar work and a stylish yet sincere image, making them an instant favorite with Tokyo’s trendy kids. At the height of the band’s popularity, guitarist and founding member Takayuki Fukumura left the group around this time to form the band Vasallo Crab 75 (he sadly passed away, not yet thirty, due to heart disease in 2003). The group, already operating with no full-time bassist, decided to press on as a trio.*

advantage Lucy established their own label, Solaris Records, in January 2001 with the intention to start afresh, immediately releasing the mini albums Oolt Cloud and Anzu no kisetsu in March and April respectively. Additionally, in May of the same year Toshiba-EMI released a “best of” record containing selected tracks from 1996 to 2000 - an honor rarely bestowed on young “indie” bands. Shortly thereafter, tragedy struck again when drummer Kaname Banba developed a condition that rendered one of his legs unfit for drumming, and he too left the group. Reduced to its creative core of Aiko and Ishizaka, advantage Lucy continues to gig frequently with part-time members on drums and bass, and maintains an extremely loyal fan base.

Band ini wajib didengerin, paling ngga dicicip deh hehe...
Musiknya alternatif rock, lama-lama bertambah unsur elektronik. karena itu banyak yang bilang ini adalah Radiohead nya jepang (padahal musiknya mah ngga mirip juga sih hehe).

Mengambil alur yg dibentuk tata panggung. Menyusuri raut muka penonton. Gila. Merinding. Ekspresi2. mimik muka. Raut wajah dalam gelap. Jari2 tangan yg mengetukngetuk dasar panggung. Mata berkacakaca. Pasangan berpegangan tangan. Berpelukan. Hentakan anggukan kepala. Tatapan ke langit2. detail gitar. Detail simbal. Detail kabel. Detail suasana. Mayoritas gambar adalah zoom in. Gelap dan kadang terhentakkan cahaya yg diatur tepat kapan akan muncul. Rekaman perjalanan. Rekaman suasana kota. Lebih banyak gambar bw yg pintar membangun emosi. saya tidak sampe nangis. Sedikit ngeliat hidup. Berantakan.

Part 1 dvd ini kurang lebih 1 jam. Dan saya berteriak anjnng subuh subuh. Krn buat ngeliat part2 nya harus nunggu 2 hari kayaknya buat dl. Jangan diliat di kala terang. Mental semua tuh.

9mm Parabellum Bullet was formed in March of 2004. Their name comes from their drummer, Kamijou Chihiro, who is a graduate of a soldier/finishing school.

They recorded two early mini-albums, Gjallarhorn in 2005 and Phantomime in 2006, encompassing a variety of genres, including hardcore, punk, metal, pop, and emo, accentuated by their own fast-paced sound. 2007 saw the releases of the Discommunication EP, feature “Discommunication” and a 25 minute live track, and The World EP which featured newly recorded version of songs from Gjallarhorn in addition two new tracks, “The World” and “Heat-Island”. At the end of 2007 they released their first full album, TERMINATION, after which they began their first one-man tour.

In the summer of 2008 the band released the double A-side single Supernova/Wanderland, which also included piano instrumentals of both songs, and a third song called “Wildpitch”. In october the band released their second full album, VAMPIRE, and proceeded onto the Vampire Empire Tour 08/09. In April of 2009 the band released their first live DVD, Act I, which contained 4 concerts from different points in their career. The limited edition came with a copy of the Vampire Empire Tour VIP pass and a photobook of the band.

In late spring of 2009, the band released the single “Black Market Blues”.
